Minor in Business
Clarkson University offers a Minor in Business, designed for students with majors outside the School of Business who wish to pursue a collateral area in Business. The Minor in Business:
- Provides broad exposure to the foundations of major business functions
- Covers areas including accounting, economics, finance, law, organizational behavior, operations management and marketing
- Allows students interested in pursuing their MBA degree to complete many of the pre-requisite courses as part of their undergraduate program
Students choosing the Minor in Business must complete 18 credit hours, or six courses, from among the following:
- EC150 Principles of Microeconomics or EC350 Principles of Micro and Engineering Economics
- EC151 Principles of Macroeconomics
- AC205 Introduction to Accounting for Decision Analysis
- LW270 Law and Society I
- OS286 Organizational Behavior
- FN361 Financial Management (prerequisite: AC205; previous name: Corporate Finance)
- OM331 Operations & Supply Chain Management (co-requisite: IS200)
- MK320 Principles of Marketing (co-requisite: IS200)
