The Gateway

The Alumni Gateway space was officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 23rd during Homecoming/Family Weekend, one year from the Alumni Council vote to go forward with the project during its annual meeting.

We now have the opportunity to publically display artifacts and memorabilia spanning the history of Clarkson, while recognizing past and present Woodstock and Golden Knight award recipients. The space is in an extremely high traffic area in the middle of campus, facilitating continuous interaction and presenting a good opportunity to provide impact through changing displays on a regular basis.

Through our fundraising efforts, we have fulfilled two of the three components of this project to date; the design and construction of the Alumni Gateway, and the creation of an endowment to pay for a student curator to maintain the space and change the displays over time.  We are still in fundraising mode to raise $19,000 to fulfill our $100,000 commitment to the new University Student Center fund. We are pleased with the progress that has been made in just a little over a year and could not have done it without your generosity. Please make a point of visiting the space the next time you are on campus!
